It was in 1810 that the people of Dolores, led by its priest Miguel Hidalgo y Castillo, started their rebellion to free themselves from Spanish domination. Calling on the villagers - by ringing the bells of his parish - to revolt against the colonial grip, he uttered the famous Cry of Dolores , an exhortation to fight the Spanish government to win national independence. Without military experience and armed with improvised weapons, the inhabitants of Dolores triggered a wave of revolution throughout the country, thereby marking the first crucial step towards its independence. Now, in 2010, Hublot is paying tribute to these early combatants by creating a King Power bearing on its dial the colors of Mexico, and whose case-back reproduces an illustration of the famous Cry of Dolores , symbolized by the bell that sounded the rallying call in 1810.
